LEVIS – NEW ARRIVALS:

Beginning with their recent collaboration with Nike SB, we are continuing to stock the Levis action sport/lifestyle division from Fall ’12 on. FINALLY! The Levis 511 is one of the best slim cuts. It isn’t too skinny and sits well. Best of all, the 511 makes for an excellent chino. These pictured black and “cougar”colorways will NOT be found at department stores. We are currently only stocking 30″ inseams, but will eventually also carry 32″ inseams.

The 508 is for that dude that has not bought into the slim fit pant, but does not want a full on regular cut that swallows your shoe whole. The 508 is a regular cut BUT with a tapered leg opening so that it catches and stacks on top of your shoes without sacrificing leg room.

|x| What’s good, fam! Is it me or did Christmas just sneak right up on us or what? All I want for Christmas this year is a couple of sports related things: Derrick Rose to come back 200% and play the rest of the season, Da Bears to make the playoffs (although that looks like a super slim chance right now), Adrian Peterson to break Eric Dickerson’s almost 30 year old single season rushing record (we need to seriously put AP up there with the greats of all-time though, for real), and for all the team owners with rookies who did outstanding this year to give them bonuses because its been a while since a rookie class did this much damage right out the gate (Luck, RGIII, Russel Wilson, Alfred Morris, Doug Martin, Tannehill, Trent Richardson, etc.). If I can’t get any of those things to happen, then please grant me peace on earth and goodwill towards all.

NIKE QUICKSTRIKE – LUNAR AF1 “DIGI CAMO” PREMIUM NRG / SATURDAY (12/15) RELEASE:

OK guys, the Lunar AF-1 is NO JOKE! Sometimes hybrids can go horribly wrong, but this is a homerun for the AF-1, which has seen some major ups and downs since the 25th Anniversary flood. We have always done well with the AF-1, but I could see how, in general, Nike needed to inject new life into this classic shoe. The addition of the Lunar sole is a serious game changer because it took one of the bulkiest shoes and made it one of the lightest. It is also mad comfortable. Like you legit need to get a pair of these on your feet and walk around in them because ERMAHGERD! I like how they kept the AF-1 outsole on there so the integrity of the shoe’s design is still very much there. This digi-camo quickstrike features a 3-M upper with leather lining. Interesting take on shirting with the corduroy collar and cotton jersey sleeves. I am feeling the color blocking…looks sick with camo pants.

One of the best denim shirts I’ve seen this season. The slight pattern breaks up the deep indigo denim. Great stuff.

|x| What’s good, fam! It is almost that time of year again! Yes, that time of year when EVERYONE and their sister’s aunty’s dental assistant thinks they can rap. I meaning, rapping is not for everyone. (I hate to break the news to you, Hurricane Chris.) ….wait, what is that you said? Oh, WRAPPING! Haha *wipes hand across sweaty brows and sneaks off behind stage out of the spotlight*. Yes, it is the holiday season, and let’s face it: EVERYONE loves receiving gifts…especially the people that tell you not to get them anything. In that case, NO definitely means YES. I love giving gifts, but I admit, my wrapping skills are “no opposable thumbs” on a scale of 1 to Martha Stewart, which always poses a problem, and more often than not those gift wrapping stations in the mall have some kind of catch to them and I end up having to go at it. Let’s put it this way, my best origami EVER has been a crumbled up piece of paper. So bad that we are talking HOPE. LESS. So bad, that I had to split one word into two to further prove my point. IT’S A WRAP!

Fresh off his recent collaboration with Supreme, artist Sean Cliver has created his take on a Nike SB Dunk Hi Premium. The “Krampus” shoe will be available for purchase IN STORE ONLY beginning at 1100A. First come, first served. Last come, first lump of coal served. Cliver has found his lane in illustrating these dark cartoon images. For example, the artwork on this footbed seriously gives me the heebeejeebeez (in the trap *dead*). The “Krampus” is a devilish creature from Eastern European folklore that is sent by St.Nick to punish kids that have been naughty. Somewhat of a “scared straight” program from the old country. The shoe itself features a crackled, leather & faux goat hair upper. Needless to say, this one is one wild bugged out shoe…

NIKE QUICKSTRIKE – VORTEX & EPIC VINTAGE LUNAR+ NRG / SATURDAY (12/01) RELEASE:

Nike Running has re-retroed classic running silhouettes from their vaults, such as the Vortex & Epic, numerous times. And numerous times, they have received the brand-new-vintage treatment, but this is a first where they have altered the shoe in any way, and I applaud this hybrid use of the Lunar sole with the Vortex & Epic uppers 200%. I like that the Lunar soles are both the same blue, which gives the pack continuity, and also it is a beautiful contrast to the two uppers. I am super into both of these, and will probably own both by the end of the weekend…happy birthday to me! HUF did an awesome “TEAM SIGNATURE SERIES” for their Fall ’12 footwear launch. There is the (top to bottom pictured): “Southern” by Joey Pepper (comes with limited edition Expedition One camo HUF socks: not pictured), “Choice” by Dan PLunkett (comes with Skate Mental bottle opener: not pictured), and “Genuine” by Brad Cromer (comes with Krooked “Eyes” HUF socs: not pictured). This is a great capsule because it showcases their footwear line, which I happen to like a lot, and it sheds light on their pro riders (WHO ABSOLUTELY KILL IT).

WOW. WOW. WOW! Manufactured by hand in Diemme’s Montebelluna, factory in Italy, this boot features a waterproof suede upper & a dope Vibram Morflex sole. There are hiking-style eyelets that are designed to lace up/out quickly and comfortable. The Diemme x Vans logo is debossed on the outer and inner heel. The Italian red,white & green bartag is affixed to the spine. It is available in a “root” brown and “Mouton” black. NIKE SB – DECEMBER ’12 ARRIVALS:

Nike SB Dunk Lo + Hi. These feel like throwback early 2000′s type colorways. That almost all blue everything Dunk Hi is really rad.

Its good to see the SB Team Edition with new colorways. I like this, Bruins & Blazers a lot. That vulcanized style is so classic.

New Janoski colorways. There is no stopping Janoski’s popularity at this point. I’m surprised the SB design team hasn’t been pushing the envelope with different material plays and wilder colorways to see how far they can go with this silhouette.

Incase smashed the game with this duffle and carry-on roller from their travel collection. Both feature a dedicated, padded laptop sleeve which is SUPER NECESSARY! I personally bought the duffle and am using it as my new DJ bag. It fits my 15″ MacBookPro with an Incase hardcase cover on it, a grip of records, a Serato SL1 box, XLR cables, my needles, my headphones & a bunch of SuperHandsome stickers…needless to say, it fits a ton of stuff. The roller is carry-on size and features a extendable handle, soft skateboard urethane wheels for maneuvering ease, and very logical pockets and compartments. INTRODUCING – URBAN EARS:

I personally use the “Zinken” headphones to DJ with and they work amazingly well. I also use them at home when I am watching Netflix, and the sound quality is top notch. The best parts about these headphones are: 1) dope colorways with minimal to no branding at all & 2) you can easily plug in the 1/4″ or RCA to the headphone depending on what you are plugging into (basically, no need for those screw on adapters). The in-ear joints come with different sized earbuds to make sure there is a comfortable fit. There is also a microphone option so you can use this with your smart phones. Great stuff for you audiophiles. Very reasonably priced for the sound and overall quality.

Innovative Leisure is one of the best indie labels right now. Their roster includes the likes of: Hanni El-Khatib (former art director for HUF and current rock and roll messiah), Allah-Lahs, Nick Waterhouse, Nosaj Thing, Classixx, Lazer Sword, and one of my favorite groups right now: RHYE. Seriously amazing music. Big shakas to Jamie, Hanni, Britton and all the homies over at IL for constantly and consistently putting out fresh, new music. This L/S Hanni El Khatib tee features Hanni’s unreal rabbit head logo designed by Ricky Saiz from Supreme.
