NIKE SB – RE-UPS:

Some SB styles we missed and re-ups on key sizes for some popular SBs. Just arrived yesterday…

SB Dunk Low + SB Dunk Mid (Nori green).

SB Team Edition (Old Royal blue) + SB Janoski Mid.

SB Blazers. This lineup made me happy because we haven’t had too many Blazers come through the shop in a while.

As always, we only sell Nike SB in the shop – no phone orders.

NIKE SB – JUNE 2012 ARRIVALS:

This SB Koston with a white leather upper and gumsole feels like it took cues from Margiela, Dior Homme, etc. I mean, it still reads like a skate shoe, but I wouldn’t flinch if I saw someone wearing it with a linen suit for summer with the pants cuffed. New takes on classic looks.

The SB Team Edition is fast becoming one of my favorite SB silhouettes because they are picking up where Blazers left off – with solid colorways. This grey jumpoff and that Old Royal colorway (above) are my two favorites out of all these latest SBs.

SB Janoski (Birch/Clear Jade).

SB Janoski Mid. I have this fixation with studying how different companies handle the stripe break on the midsole of vulcanized shoes. The wrong line weight (too thick/too thin) can throw the entire shoe off. Sometimes there are two or more lines as opposed to a single line, and in this instance, there is a thick black stripe with a red line break to give the appearance of a lower profile. Optical illusions and negative space harmony studies abound, fam.

The internets named this the “Crown Royal” SB Dunk Low. I thought it was a tribute to the Laker great James Worthy called the “We’re not,” …as in “We’re not Worthy…” OK, that was horrible. Like Lebron hairline bad. Or was that Joel Anthony’s hairline?

100+ phone calls later, I am now aware that people are referring to this SB Dunk Low as “Tiffany J-Pack Dunks”, which makes next to zero sense, but we’re supposed to listen when the internets talk, right? :/ Anyway, these are in the building right now. Stop. Clamor time.

STAPLE – SUMMER 2012 DELIVERY 1:

New Era fitted caps. So thoro.

Starter snapback.

Yin/Yang with pigeon heads. Why not? Starter snapback.

This season of Staple tees is one of the strongest I’ve seen all year. Great concepts & very well designed. See for yourself.

Ye olde “Pain in Full” lyrics. Word to Eric B & Rakim Allah. Fun fact: A$AP Rocky’s mother named him after her favorite emcee Rakim.

I NEED FIVE OF THESE IN SIZE L SO I CAN WEAR THEM ALL AT THE SAME DAMB TIME. If you missed the “Devil in a New Dress” reference here, then you need to revisit Ye’s “Dark Twisted Fantasy” album rat meow.

Another tee that I absolutely love.

The homie DJ Soul has been one of the best DJs in NY for a while now. Its only right that Staple would team up with him to do a tee, BUT WAIT! Its NOT just a tee…there is a USB jumpdrive affixed to the shirt that holds an exclusive, unreleased DJ Soul mix for Staple…BUT WAIT! The DJ Soul logo on the USB jumpdrive is designed by the one and only HAZE! This is just too good, people! Living legends combining forces like this is sensory overload for me! (Oh, and those are cassette tapes on the tee. *dead*).

And it don’t stop: Patrick Martinez for Staple. You already know what it is with his hip-hop quotable neon signage art.

Photographer Jonathan Mannion for Staple with portraits of Marcy Ave great Sean Carter and Queens’ own Nassir Jones. Each portrait is stamped with their respective borroughs and a Mannion x STPL logo. Amazing stuff.

CBNC tees now in the building. Slowly but surely we will have the caps, tees & cut and sew in the building. I promise. BTW, these CBNC tees fit SO PROPER! Custom engineered bodies with side seams and baseball jersey/rounded out bottom cuts. Little details that stand out so well.
