|x| What’s good, fam! This newsletter is going to be crazy loaded so I’m just going to jump right into it…it’s seriously really good stuff.

KICKS/HI SUMMER ’11 DELIVERY 2 – SATURDAY (7/16) RELEASE:

2011 marks the 10th Anniversary of KICKS/HI! And this is our commemorative “Anniversary” logo. Available in white, silver and black tees. Humblest thank yous to each and every one of you! Without y’all, collectively, we wouldn’t have made it out of our first year, but here we are 10 years later-still building, still learning, and still growing.

Along with new designs, as we always do, we will also be going back in the archives to re-release some of the past bangers from over the past 10 years as a LEGACY COLLECTION. The first design is easily one of my personal favorites because I had the pleasure of putting it together. The “Classic (Legacy Collection)” is our take on the ESPN Classic logo-of course with shakas instead of the clenched fists. You know where we stay.

Another memorable hit! “Hawaiians (Legacy Collection)” is our take on Hawaii’s first and only professional football team’s logo from the 1970′s. Sports have always been a big influence in our personal lives, and as art imitates life, so has the KICKS/HI brand aesthetic mirrored that love for sports, music and artistic endeavors.

Our homies Kal & Zack did this “Ikaika (Legacy Collection)” for us a while back, and it has been asked for again and again ever since. Well, here it is once again. So official!

CONVERSE FIRST STRING: STRAIGHT SHOOTER – SATURDAY (7/16) RELEASE:

MARIMEKKO for CONVERSE WOMENS – SATURDAY (7/16) RELEASE:

The first offering from Marimekko for Converse last fall sold out in record time. In fact, we could have easily moved so many more pairs, but Converse, themselves, we completely sold out too. To continue this wild popular program, meet the latest offerings from this great collection. Wonderful, bold colors and patterns that are just so original and fresh.

VANS VAULT: “BROTHERS MARSHALL” SLIP-ON LX & SPECTATOR LX – SATURDAY (7/16) RELEASE:

Founders of the popular clothing line Warriors of Radness, the brothers Trace and Chad Marshall, have designed this dope little capsule for Vans Vault.

Yep. That’s a blue suede shoe. And its SUPER DOPE. Oh man, pictures cannot do this shoe justice.

NIKE MENS – JULY ’11 ARRIVALS:

Kobe VI bangers in either a silver grey or black. Dope. You already know how good the Nike Kobe shoes have been. These are solid staples. (No pun intended, but now that I look at it, its a great pun. I win.)

DIAMOND x HALL OF FAME – “POLAR BEAR” PACK:

The homies at Diamond and Hall of Fame teamed up to put out this sick “Polar Bear” pack, consisting of a snapback cap and t-shirt in various colorways (as you can see in the pics). These will not last long. Get it while its hot (even though its polar bear themed, and polar bears can’t stand the heat…such a bad cliche I just made. Wamp wamp.)

DIAMOND – SUMMER ’11:

Speaking of Diamond…brand new summer arrivals from what has become one of the hardest brands to keep in stock-not because they are hard to work with (quite the contrary) but because they are so popular that everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) sells out within a week, and then Diamond is wiped out of their own stock, and we have to wait patiently until their next season, which are all really good problems-well, maybe notsomuch for the kids who REALLY want the stuff, but yeah, otherwise…

SHAKE&POP: KICKS/HI SUMMER ’11 LAUNCH PARTY – SATURDAY (7/16):

BOO-YA!! One of the best parties in Hawaii (its like a secret that we can’t keep secret anymore), SHAKE&POP will be hosting our Summer ’11 launch party tomorrow night at thirtyninehotel (chinatown, HNL). KICKS/HI has proudly sponsored this party and the SuperHandsome DJs since before day one (so basically, FOREVER). This is fam. This party will be bonkers. Oh, did I mention that KICKS/HI will be giving away a free pair of shoes with the first 40 or so paid admission at the door tomorrow night? I didn’t mention that earlier? Oh well, consider it mentioned. Doors open 900P. We will be partying our faces off until 200A. This party is 21+. No dress code-come as you are, but don’t be afraid to come through styled out! All the ladies that go to this party rock the illest labels: Opening Ceremony, Jeffrey Campbells, See by Chloe…this is TO DANCE ALL NIGHT IN, mind you. So yeah, its a great party. The DJs (DELVE, COMPOSE, JAMI & SSSolution) are all murder. Special guest DJ is SuperHandsome’s own: DJ XL. Converse First String team is in town too so its definitely a family affair tomorrow night.
